St Mary Trail Opened - Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church

ST MARY TRAIL REOPENED. The trail to the top of the mountain behind the church is now open. The trail begins at the gate next to the Nelson County Food Pantry located at the south end of our parking lot. The trail is marked by white vertical blazes on trees. All fourteen stations of the cross are marked by posts with the numeral visible. It’s a very good hike, which you can enhance by praying the Stations of the Cross as you make the climb. The view south over Lovingston one is treated to from the top is very rewarding. Thanks to Tom Eick and the Knights of Columbus for reopening the trail. Give it a visit and make the climb. It’s a great thing to do for Lent!
